A Friday night drive through Casselberry turned tragic when a driver was killed in a crash at the intersection of Lake Drive and Mary Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers shut down Lake Drive in both directions while they worked the scene, and authorities did not immediately release the victim’s name. The wreck brought traffic to a standstill along a busy stretch of the Seminole County corridor well into the evening.
Preliminary findings indicate the crash involved a 2008 Honda Accord, and the driver was taken to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, where they were later pronounced dead, as reported by WESH. Troopers said the crash remains under active investigation while they process evidence from the scene.
