A 41-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with an alleged March 4 assault inside the Freddy’s at the Quarry that left an employee with serious injuries, including a fractured rib and a spinal fracture. Investigators say surveillance video and an arrest warrant were key to identifying and locating the suspect, and court records allege he repeatedly struck the worker, causing injuries that required medical treatment.
Affidavit lays out the attack
The Bexar County arrest affidavit identifies the suspect as 41-year-old Patrick Wilbanks and states that he slapped an employee, threw a drink, then grabbed the worker and slammed him onto a table during the March 4 encounter inside the Freddy’s. According to the affidavit, the assault caused a fractured rib and a fracture in the victim’s spine, and detectives relied on surveillance video to identify and find Wilbanks. Those details appear in the arrest paperwork, according to KENS5.
