Most people would give that credit to the southern part of the state, because the culinary traditions of New Orleans, Lafayette, and Lake Charles are firmly established as pillars of Louisiana cuisine.
On Wednesday, April 15, as the regular legislative session adjourns, HB9 will declare Shreveport as the “Stuffed Shrimp Capital” of Louisiana. The bill was introduced by Representative Joy Walters with the support of the Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser’s office.
