TULSA, Ok – Tulsa Police have arrested Willie Escobar after they say he killed his wife on Wednesday, by strangling her after an argument, then dumped her body near Mohawk Park. Escobar’s wife Karla Gramajo-Cabrera was found last night, hidden under a mattress.
Police say the investigation began when Karla was reported missing by her sister. Detectives say they quickly identified concerning red flags, including a history of domestic violence and suspicious behavior by Escobar. While interviewing family members and surveying the couple’s residence, Fugitive Warrants Detectives observed Escobar leave with the couple’s three young children. They followed him to Woodland Hills Mall, where he and the children spent time at the playground. After he and the children returned to the vehicle, Escobar was taken into custody without incident.
Police say that during an interview with detectives, Escobar confessed to strangling Karla inside their home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, after an argument in which she insulted him. Police say Escobar said the couple’s 17-year-old son was asleep in another room at the time…
