HONOLULU (KHON2) — Over 12,000 people will lace up their running shoes to participate in what is being called the “largest Hapalua ever” this Sunday, April 12.
The Hapalua starts at 6 a.m. in the heart of Waikiki, at the Duke Kahanamoku Statue. Runners will embark on a journey to conquer 13.1 miles in paradise.
Drivers are encouraged to plan since roads along the race route will be closed starting at 4 a.m. on Sunday. That includes Ala Moana Boulevard, Kalakaua Avenue and around Kapiolani Park…
