LONG BEACH, Calif. — A person was killed in a shooting Saturday night in North Long Beach.
Officers responded around 9:20 p.m. on April 11 to the area of Cherry Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, where they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was unconscious and not breathing at the scene.
Fire personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
Investigators recovered multiple shell casings near a gas station in the area, and several nearby vehicles were also struck by gunfire…
