Saline City Council awarded Comprehensive Contracting LLC the contract for sewer reconstruction at their April 6 meeting. The reconstruction is a part of the city’s capital improvement plan and will address sanitary sewer service to city hall as well as installation of a grinder pump.
The contract discussion was initially tabled at Council’s April 16 meeting to discuss the cost estimate with the company and OHM Advisors, an engineering firm the city has worked with before.
“Staff has been in communication, not only with our city engineer, OHM, but also indirectly, with Comprehensive Contracting,” City Manager Dan Swallow said. “They are comfortable with the bid price relative to and are able to honor the bid price that was proposed at $70,001.”…
