NCDOT plans improvements to prevent truck mishaps at problematic Cornelius intersection

CORNELIUS, N.C. — Concerns are growing over a problematic intersection in Cornelius that has left multiple trucks and buses stuck, causing major disruptions for drivers.

The intersection at Mayes Road and N.C. 115, which includes a railroad crossing and steep incline, has proven challenging — even for passenger vehicles. But residents say trucks, which are not supposed to be on the road, continue to get stuck there.
