COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Ohio Department of Transportation on Friday announced locations for 64 new electric vehicle charging sites with funding through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program (NEVI).
Each of the new sites will have at least four charging ports capable of 150 kWh at each port. The locations will also be near amenities including restrooms and food, and at existing travel centers.
ODOT is awarding $51 million in funding from the NEVI program for the charging locations, which will be matched with more than $26 million from private developers, some of which include Aldi, Love’s Travel Stops, Pilot Travel Centers, Sheetz, Tesla and United Dairy Farmers…
