New speed cameras go live on Frankford Ave. through Northeast Philly on Monday

Starting Monday, in an effort to prevent reckless driving, a 60-day warning period for new speed cameras along Frankford Avenue — AKA Route 13 — will start Monday.

Officials with the Philadelphia Parking Authority said in a statement that the new cameras, along Route 13 from Morrell Avenue to Levick Street, will go live on Monday, initially warning anyone who violates the 25 m.p.h. speed limit at those cameras.

Then, those warnings will turn into fines on June 12, 2026…
