Rising fuel costs forces food truck owners to consider price increases

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Food trucks are finding ways to account for the pinch on their budgets as gas prices keep climbing locally amid the conflict in Iran.

One Richmond food truck owner said his weekly gas costs have gone up by more than 40%, and while the business is managing it now, the increase will show up on customers’ receipts if costs keep rising.

“A big part of food trucking is trucking,” said Noah Golfman, owner of Cluck ‘n Roll, which has been operating as a food truck for around three years. “It’s a lot of repairs, a lot of gas.”…
