Brighton residents and others carry signs of hope during community ‘walk for peace’ at Buckland Park

BRIGHTON, N.Y. — More than a hundred people gathered at Buckland Park in Brighton for a “walk for peace” on Saturday morning.

Many of them carried signs calling for respect and to keep up hope. The organizer said she was inspired by Buddhist monks who walked for peace from Texas to Washington D.C. earlier this year.
