It Started as a Birthday Party
Lightning in a Bottle didn’t begin as a festival at all. The first edition in 1999 was actually a one-night birthday party thrown by brothers Josh Flemming and Jesse Flemming, along with their brother Dede Flemming, who later went on to found the Do LaB.
