2 gunmen at large after 8 people shot in Virginia Beach, police say

At least eight people, including four teenagers, were shot on Saturday night in Virginia Beach, Virginia, during what police alleged was an altercation between two groups that escalated.

The shooting unfolded near the city’s Oceanfront area along Atlantic Avenue, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.

An 18-year-old man who was wounded in the incident is alleged to be one of the gunmen involved in the shooting, police said. He was identified as Jamaya Williams of Henrico County and was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, reckless handling of a firearm with injury and violations of a protective order, according to police.

Two other suspects remained at large on Sunday afternoon, including another 18-year-old police identified as Isaiah Charity of Richmond, who is wanted on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm with injury…
