CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Clarksville teacher has resigned amid an investigation into accusations that he showed an inappropriate photo to a student, according to a school board member.
Chris Lanier, trustee for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, announced on social media that now-former Montgomery Central High School teacher Matt Vedder stepped away from his position after being placed on administrative leave while under investigation.

In March, CMCSS announced Vedder was under investigation after being accused of accidentally displaying an inappropriate photo on his personal device while showing an appropriate photo to a student in class on March 9.
According to Lanier, Vedder admitted to showing the photo to a student. Lanier said due to Vedder’s tenure, he has the right to a school district investigation once law enforcement, the Department of Children’s Services, and the District Attorney’s office have concluded their investigation into possible criminal charges against him…
