First Alert Forecast: Tracking a warm week with several thunderstorm chances

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Today was a nice preview/taste of summer, wasn’t it? Temperatures didn’t start off promising, but everyone made it to the upper 70s and low 80s in the end 🙂

This week is shaping up to be warm from start to finish with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s Monday through Friday. The biggest question – and area of lowest confidence forecast-wise – surrounds rain chances.

Monday will be warm with highs near 80º, but given better atmospheric dynamics for storm development well to our north and west, the chances we see a pop-up storm are low. Not zero, but pretty remote! If a storm does form, it would likely be near or after sunset…
