ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A search is underway after a man allegedly broke into a Riffle Hills home Sunday morning and stole a shotgun before fleeing the area, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Sam Page said deputies responded around 9:30 a.m. to a residence in the subdivision near Harrington Highway after a resident reported a break-in. The caller told authorities a white male, described as thin, wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans, was inside the home and armed with a shotgun.
