GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities arrested a convicted felon after a vehicle pursuit, crash, and foot chase that ended inside a nearby residence, officials said.
The incident began during the late evening hours of April 3, 2026, when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a gray Volkswagen in the 4200 block of Southwest 17th Place. Investigators said the vehicle was believed to be driven by 27-year-old Ahmadric Stone, who was known to have a suspended or revoked license and was operating a vehicle with an incorrect tag.
According to deputies, Stone fled from the attempted stop and later jumped out of the moving vehicle in an effort to escape on foot. The vehicle continued moving and crashed into a parked car that had occupants inside. No serious injuries were reported…
