Knoxville couple prepares for Ukraine travels to support ongoing war relief efforts

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The war between Ukraine and Russia marked its fourth year in February 2026 — and the need for help hasn’t gone away. One Knoxville couple is stepping up, preparing to travel overseas later this month to volunteer where it’s needed most.

Russia’s invasion began in 2022, and while global attention has shifted, those on the ground say the crisis is far from over. That reality is what’s driving Knoxville residents Susie Johnson and Ken Graves to take action.
