Lane closures, delays expected on I-690 in Geddes

GEDDES, N.Y. — Motorists in Onondaga County should plan for delays next week as construction work impacts Interstate 690 eastbound in the Town of Geddes.

According to the New York State Department of Transportation, I-690 eastbound will be reduced to one lane between Exit 9 (State Fair Boulevard/Lakeland) and Exit 11 (State Route 297/Fairgrounds) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 13. Crews will be working on overhead sign structure replacements.

Drivers should also expect additional delays the following day. On Tuesday, April 14, periodic rolling closures are scheduled along the same stretch of I-690 eastbound from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each closure is expected to last between five and ten minutes…
