BEACH VB: Southeastern falls against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and No. 12 LSU

BATON ROUGE — The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team ended the final day of the Battle on the Bayou 0-2 Saturday afternoon at the LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium.

SLU (14-12, 5-2 SLC) closed out the weekend suffering two tough losses on the road. Southeastern opened the day against conference foe Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (20-9, 6-0 SLC), falling in a 5-0 sweep. The Sandy Lions dropped its second match against the Islanders this season as they suffered their only shutout of the multi-day tournament.

Southeastern battled to stay within the fight but Texas A&M-Corpus Christi battled to maintain its edge. Elizabeth Hardouin and Genevieve Schubert fought to provide momentum but the Islanders remained in control, securing a 21-19, 21-14 victory.
