Detroit Forecast: Warming into 70s, severe weather threat begins

DETROIT – Southeast Michigan is heading into a stretch of warm weather, with daytime highs hitting well into the 70s for the next several days.

This is also going to be an active stretch in terms of showers and thunderstorms, with repeated rounds of storms in the forecast from Monday through Thursday.

There is a risk for severe weather Monday night and into Tuesday. Heavy rain over the next several days could lead to flooding of low-lying areas.
