WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Fire Chiefs Honor Flight Hub held a meet and greet ceremony Sunday ahead of its next Honor Flight, “RI250.” The title represents part of the 250th year of the signing of the Declaration of the Independence Celebration.
Honor Flights take local veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the national monuments built in their honor. More than 1,000 veterans have taken part in these events.
