WASHINGTON (7News) — After a very pleasant and seasonable weekend, temperatures are about to soar into record-setting territory this week.
A weak front will sag close to the DMV on Monday, bringing increased cloud cover and a small chance of spotty showers.
Despite the cloud cover, temperatures will still reach the mid-80s, nearly 20 degrees above average.
Tuesday through Thursday will include a string of consecutive days with temperatures close to and/or surpassing 90 degrees, which will also likely set new record highs.
Even though we’ve had rain and snow this winter, dry conditions have persisted since August of last year.
