Bill requiring advance notice to relocate homeless Tennesseans heads to Gov. Bill Lee’s desk

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A bill that would require advance notice to relocate homeless Tennesseans is heading to Gov. Bill Lee’s desk for his signature after passing in the House and Senate.

The bill, introduced by Rep. Tim Rudd (R-Murfreesboro) and Sen. Shane Reeves (R-District 14), will prohibit local governments from relocating homeless individuals to another jurisdiction without written consent from the other municipality.
