The eligibility of Edward Campbell to serve on the Atlantic Beach Town Council has been brought into question in recent litigation.
Crazy Horse, Inc., which operates Thee DollHouse, filed suit in March claiming that Campbell was ineligible to serve because of a felony conviction back in February 2001.
The state constitution allows for rehabilitation after 15 years of a completed sentence. Campbell was formally released from his sentence on November 12, 2009. But he filed for election 12 years later in 2021, short of the 15-year requirement, and was elected. Campbell was re-elected in 2025…
