Man accused of Meridian fatal road rage shooting ordered to undergo competency evaluation

MERIDIAN, Idaho — The case for the Nampa man accused of killing another driver in a road rage shooting in Meridian is on pause after he was ordered to take a competency evaluation.

On Monday, April 13, 23-year-old Jacob Streat appeared in Ada County District Court for a set preliminary hearing. Following, the judge in the case ordered Streat to complete a competency evaluation to determine whether he is fit to stand trial.
