SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A 30-year-old was arrested for a 91 mph hit-and-run that sent a woman to a hospital and killed a dog Sunday
Dakota Thorstenson, 30, of Sioux Falls, was arrested with multiple charges, including felony hit and run, vehicular battery, DWI, reckless driving, fleeing police, resisting arrest, simple assault on law enforcement, possession of a firearm by a felon and multiple other traffic-related charges.
On Sunday, around 7:40 p.m., an officer in the area near East 57th Street and Cliff Avenue witnessed a Dodge Charger traveling westbound at a high rate of speed. The driver yelled something out the window to the officer that was inaudible and continued driving westbound on 57th.

Through the rear-view mirror, the officer was able to see the Dodge Charger hit a 2013 Chevy Impala driven by an 18-year-old man, near 57th and Cliff Avenue. The Impala driver was not injured in the crash…
