DC police still on the hunt for missing Shih Tzu puppy, additional arrest announced

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in D.C. are still searching for a Shih Tzu puppy that went missing during a burglary that took place in March.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that just after 10:20 p.m. on March 1, officers responded to the 3500 block of East Capitol St. NE for a reported burglary.

Officers learned that the suspects had forced their way into the victim’s apartment while the victim was not home and taken property, including a Shih Tzu puppy named Cruz.
