Affordable housing leader in Ann Arbor resigns ‘with a heavy heart’

ANN ARBOR, MI — Aaron Cooper, who took the helm at Avalon Housing in Ann Arbor two years ago, is resigning.

Cooper, executive director for one of the leading affordable housing organizations in the region, announced Monday, April 13, he will be stepping down in May.

“It’s been a great honor and privilege to work with the Avalon team, and it is with a heavy heart I’m notifying this great organization that I have decided to resign effective May 21st to take another opportunity that’s beneficial for me and my family,” Cooper said in a statement…
