Rezonings OK’d for indoor archery range, laydown yard in Montgomery County

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Montgomery County Commission unanimously approved two rezone requests on Monday night, one for an archery range where hunting supplies will also be sold, and the other to serve businesses in the Industrial Park.

Indoor archery range, hunting supply store

Five acres on the southern side of Dover Road had been requested for rezone for an archery range where hunting supplies will also be sold.

Applicant Arthur Clark asked for 5 acres of agricultural to be changed to C-5 highway and arterial district. Clark said one side of the business will sell supplies to hunters in the area, given the demand, while the other side will be an indoor archery range for those interested in developing their shot, including children wanting to learn more about archery.

The Montgomery County Highway Department said a traffic assessment for Oakwood and Old Dover Road intersection is required and that the only traffic assessment submitted was for accesses to Highway 79.
