Man charged with murder in red-light crash that killed the driver

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man is facing a murder charge after prosecutors say he ran a red light at high speed just after midnight and caused a crash that killed one person and left another critically injured.

Criminal charges have been filed against 32-year-old Joseph Douglas Gray in connection with a deadly crash on Friday.

Prosecutors say that Gray was driving a Dodge Charger eastbound on Dakota Avenue approaching Chestnut Avenue just after midnight when, according to multiple witnesses, he ran a red light at a high rate of speed and crashed into a Chevy Cruze traveling southbound on Chestnut Avenue…
