Walnut Creek woman charged in crash that killed toddler in S.F.

A 47-year-old Walnut Creek woman was charged with vehicular manslaughter for allegedly striking and killing a toddler with her vehicle in Mission Bay, authorities said Monday.

Merih Fssha Solomon hit the 2-year-old and an adult as they crossed the street at the intersection of Fourth and Channel streets at about 8:55 p.m. on Feb. 27, the San Francisco District Attorney’s office said.

The crash killed the child and seriously injured the adult, police said. The name of the toddler, who died at a local hospital, has not been publicly released…
