CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A street in Cranston has reopened after a resident found a grenade inside her basement Monday afternoon.
Police said a woman called shortly after 3 p.m. to report locating a grenade inside a safe in her basement on Latent Knight Road.
The woman told police the safe belonged to her ex-husband that died.
