BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – Commissioners in Pender County on Monday night did not take any steps to rescind their vote from last week suspending the new 2026 property revaluations, even after hearing opinions that the move might violate North Carolina State Statute.
Commissioners heard from a representative of the company that performed the revaluation, on the collection of data and calculation of the 2026 values.
“It’s too many inconsistencies with the data. It’s too many inaccuracies,” said Commissioner Jimmy Tate. “Tonight, when Vincent Valuation spoke to us, they couldn’t answer many of my questions in detail.”…
