EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A mother and daughter, facing charges of Medicaid fraud and stealing children’s identities in their afterschool program, accepted a $6.6 million restitution, presented by New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez.
Susanne Kee and her daughter, Bethanne Kee, pled guilty to felonies including Medicaid fraud, conspiracy to commit Medicaid fraud, 35 counts of theft identity and theft of identity conspiracy.
The agreement states that there will be $6.6 million in restitution and civil penalties, along with a nearly five-year prison sentence for both individuals, according to a press release by the New Mexico Department of Justice.
