Those bound for French Quarter Festival this week may notice new billboards raising alarms about a proposal to expand short-term rentals in the French Quarter.
The campaign, launched by the Vieux Carré Property Owners and Residents Association, a neighborhood advocacy group, comes as the City Council considers recommendations adopted by the City Planning Commission in January that would allow new short-term rentals in a small area of the French Quarter.
