SpaceX rocket launch lights up the sky over CSRA

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A SpaceX rocket was visible across the CSRA on Tuesday morning after taking off in Florida.

The rocket launched at 5:23 a.m. from Cape Canaveral to deploy 29 Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit.

A NASA engineer who graduated from Dutch Fork High School played a role in the Artemis 2 mission, helping the crew return safely after circling the moon.
