In partnership with Tennessee American 250, the “Threads of History” event, co-hosted by Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association (CCHGA) and the Timothy Demonbreun Heritage Society (TDHS), will be held on Saturday, April 18 at the Cheatham County Museum in Ashland City from 9 a.m. 12 noon.
Join the free event and explore local displays, check out your lineage to Timothy Demonbreun, followed by Marrowbone Community Historian Steven Taylor, speaking on all things Marrowbone Creek and the early days of the founding of the area.
Directing and welcoming guests will be interpreters in period dress. A discussion panel will converse and chat regarding growing up on Marrowbone Creek in the 1940s, 50s and early 60s. Violinist Michael Lawton will delight the crowd with musical ballads and hand clapping favorites from the 1800s…
