LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County Public School’s superintendent has made a staffing decision about a specific role in elementary schools.
Superintendent Brian Yearwood told elementary school principals on Monday that if they currently have a filled bookkeeper position, that position will stay for the 2026-27 school year, according to a district spokesperson. However, if there is a vacant bookkeeper position, that school will receive support from a centralized group of bookkeepers.
