PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man convicted of killing a woman inside a Northeast Philadelphia bar nearly four years ago was sentenced Tuesday morning to 23 ½ to 47 years in prison.
Anthony Nelson, 51, was found guilty in February of third-degree murder by a judge in the shooting death of 21-year-old Jailene Holton.
On June 28, 2022, Holton was inside the Philly Bar & Restaurant on Welsh Road, just off Roosevelt Boulevard, when Nelson — who had been kicked out of the bar after an argument over a pool table — fired more than a dozen times into the building…
