AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC4) — Family of a man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday night shares more about his life and the legacy he leaves behind, with the hope people are safer on the road.
On Saturday, Jeffrey (Dylan) Vreeken, 24, was involved in a fatal motorcycle crash on I-15 in Sandy. The Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) says excessive speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
Dylan was the youngest of seven children, all boys. Between the brothers there are 10 nephews, no nieces. One of Dylan’s brothers, Quincy Vreeken, and his wife, Kayla Vreeken, went into detail about Dylan’s adventurous spirit.
“He was very ambitious and loved football and loved playing football,” Kayla shared, specifying his passion for the Arizona Cardinals.
The couple shared Dylan had a major injury last fall that required surgery and extensive physical therapy. Quincy explained how Dylan was “determined through his injury to get back.” He would post his healing progress to social media and had a large following of people who felt inspired by his dedication.
Both Quincy and Kayla agreed Dylan would do anything to protect his nephews. Kayla said he had “an aura about him of protection and caring.” Dylan said “he was fiercely loyal” to his family. Kayla added about his football team, “If you became a teammate, you were another brother.”…
