Police arrest two more in Goldsboro armed robbery case

GOLDSBORO, NC — Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection to a March armed robbery, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.

Police say 35-year-old John Lewis was taken into custody April 13 in Raleigh by the Raleigh Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He faces charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Lewis was given a $275,000 secured bond.

Earlier in the investigation, 34-year-old Tavares Allen of Goldsboro was arrested April 7 in the 700 block of North George Street. He is charged with felony conspiracy and received a $200,000 secured bond…
