City of Erie celebrates 175th anniversary of Incorporation Day

The City of Erie celebrated a very special day on Tuesday.

April 14, 1851, is the day Erie was officially incorporated, which means it’s the city’s 175th birthday.

City seeks public input on dispersal of $4 million in federal grants

Incorporation Day marks the mayor’s 100th day in office, and she said the energy and momentum are shaping our future.

City officials said this is a great time to reflect on the region’s history.
