Out-of-state visitors dead because of rip current off Central Florida coast

COCOA BEACH, Fla. – Two visitors to Central Florida were killed due to a rip current off Cocoa Beach on Tuesday afternoon, according to the fire department.

In a release, fire officials said they responded to the water rescue emergency near 4th Street South around 1 p.m.
