STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island ShopRite’s fundraising efforts to fight hunger earned several of its employees a rare honor: a spot on a limited-edition Cheerios box.
The ShopRite Partners in Caring contest is an annual initiative by ShopRite Partners In Caring that supports more than 2,500 charities, including food banks, soup kitchens and food pantries, to fight hunger nationwide.
Nearly 280 ShopRite stores participated in this year’s Partners In Caring initiative and raised more than $1.34 million. And the Staten Island stores were named among this year’s top fundraisers, with the Hylan Plaza location raising more than $11,000…
