CHICAGO — Several people were hospitalized after an overnight fire did heavy damage to an apartment building on Chicago’s North Side.
WGN-TV has been told at least four people were injured, one critically, but the Chicago Fire Department has not issued official confirmation yet.

The fire happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday at an apartment building in the 6900 block of North Greenview Avenue, in Rogers Park. It appears firefighters concentrated their efforts on the upper floors of the building.
Several pets were also taken out of the building, and a number of people who lived in the apartments will have to find a new place to live or stay for a while. The cause of the fire is not yet known…
