On April 13, 2026, a Minnehaha County Judge sentenced Brian Christopher Jensen to 30 years in prison with an additional 10 years suspended after a jury convicted him last fall of Rape in the Second Degree and Domestic Simple Assault.
During a four-day jury trial in September, the Minnehaha County State’s Attorney’s Office presented evidence that the rape and assault occurred in the late evening or early morning hours of April 25, 2023. The victim testified that when she returned home from work at approximately 11:30 p.m., the defendant was watching a film and audibly encouraging a scene depicting the imminent assault of an enslaved woman.
