Moped driver accused of robbery spree in Bronx: NYPD

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a robbery pattern that occurred throughout the Bronx.

A total of six robberies were committed between March 21 and April 11 by the unknown suspect, primarily in the Fordham Heights and Soundview areas of the Bronx. Additional robberies occurred in Claremont and Little Yemen.

In all six cases, people between the ages of 14 and 44 were first approached from behind by two men on a moped. The men then allegedly made threats at gunpoint and stole the victims’ necklace or chain. Two women sustained pain and redness to their neck as a result.
