A 10-year-old girl’s courageous disclosure shattered years of silence in 2024. She reported inappropriate touching by Ball, prompting Hendersonville Police Detective Jim Bachman to launch a probe. During a forensic interview at Ashley’s Place, a Sumner County resource for child abuse survivors, the girl detailed graphic acts of rape and molestation that began when she was just 4 years old and continued for six years.[3]
Authorities arrested Ball shortly after this revelation. The investigation quickly expanded as five additional children came forward with similar accounts of abuse. Prosecutors later presented evidence involving two more victims during sentencing, bringing the confirmed total to six – all targeted when they were particularly vulnerable.[4]
